How we work with you
We have a tried and true process to help ensure you purchase the best yacht for you, at the very best value.
However, you might not need every element.
That’s why our solution is completely customisable to your specific needs. We only charge for our time and do not receive any commissions or payments from any service provider we recommend to you.
Firstly, we offer a no-obligation, free of charge introduction phone or video call. This gives us an opportunity to get to know each other and for us to understand what you are hoping to achieve with a yacht purchase.
From there, we will present you with a scope of work and quotation for our services. Expectations on both sides are clearly disclosed and confirmed. Any future deviation from this scope of work will be highlighted in advance and a revised scope agreed before additional work is commenced.
This way your expectations of us are clear and the project can commence with the best possible foundation.

Firstly, we work with you to understand what sort of yacht is right for you.
You might already have ideas in this regard, but we will step you through a series of questions to paint a full picture of exactly what type of yacht will meet your needs:
Sailboat or motor yacht?
Superyacht, or something a little smaller?
Catamaran or monohull?
Performance or explorer yacht?
Long range, or built for speed over shorter distances?
New build or near new?
Clarity on these and other questions is gained through us understanding how you want to use your boat, where you might want to operate it, how many family or guests you’ll have on board and even whether you would like to charter your yacht, versus keeping it exclusively for personal use.
We’ll share examples of different yachts, helping to shape your thoughts through seeing what find (or don’t find) appealing. You may decide to try chartering a couple of yachts as part of this process, to gain an in-depth understanding of the pros and cons of different styles. We can arrange this on your behalf.
This is the single most important part of the yacht buying process. An investment of time here will create a solid foundation on which all future decisions can be built.

Once we have agreed the basic specification for your new yacht, our team will identify a small number of yachts that meet this brief.
We’ll scour the world, leveraging our relationships to identify yachts that might not even be publicly available for sale.
We’ll present these yachts to you for feedback and further refinement of what we’re looking for.
Once you have identified a small shortlist of yachts that look exciting, our team’s experience really kicks in. The yacht purchase process has a number of steps, each incredibly important to ensure you end-up with a yacht that looks great and is functional, but which is also reliable and will operate in the way you need.
Our negotiating process will save you time, headaches and, equally importantly, money.
-
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
-
We negotiate with the seller’s broker on your behalf.
We will secure an agreement on price, but also any other terms which are important to you. These include chattels and possession date. We also ensure the yacht is free from any inhibitors to a sale.
Upon signing a conditional sale and purchase agreement, a 20% deposit is payable into a broker’s trust account.
-
In many ways this is the single most important step in the process.
We take absolutely nothing for granted. Even if the yacht has been recently surveyed, we engage our independent surveyors to undertake a full review.
Getting into every aspect of the yacht’s construction, operations and maintenance enables us to understand issues that might already exist, or which may cause problems in the future.
We are now fully armed to make a final decision on how to proceed.
-
Let’s buy a boat (or not).
Based on what we discover in our survey and sea trials, we will recommend to either:
Confirm the existing conditional agreement and proceed to close the sale;
Renegotiate the sale and purchase agreement, recognizing any costs you may incur to rectify deficiencies we have uncovered;
Walk away from the purchase completely.
Whichever course of action you choose, you will do so based on comprehensive, independently gathered information.

Congratulations on your exciting yacht purchase!
Now the fun part starts. We will work with you to set-up your new yacht exactly how you want it.
Relocation of the yacht to your chosen home port;
Recruitment of crew;
Set-up of charter operations (if you choose to charter your yacht);
Project management of any work to customize the yacht to your needs.
Our support can be ongoing, or project based, depending on your needs.
